I’m Debbie Martin and I have been a prayer intercessor for over 30 Years. My passion is for all of you who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to get to know the Father intimately.
I am married to a retired Air Force pilot and we have three sons. Together, we lived in many places over our thirty years in the United States Air Force.
While living in Germany, I met a dear friend who had a ministry of intercession. She encouraged me to start journaling during my prayer time, recording what I felt the Lord was telling me. She said, “You will never know unless you try” and then gave me an empty journal with this scripture printed on its cover, “Call upon Me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not”.
From that time in 1987, I took a huge step of faith and began to wait upon the Lord, writing down what I felt He was saying. I found that the Lord did speak to me as I prayerfully sought Him. Since then, He has given me many precious words of encouragement. Often I have referred back to them.
Some of those insights have helped me get through challenging times in my personal life and others have encouraged me as I have interceded for America. Most of all, I have found that waiting on the Lord and writing down what I hear Him saying has shown me that we can hear His voice clearly. As it says in John 10:27, ‘My sheep listen to My voice; I know them and they follow Me.’
This blog, “Moments with the Father” is my way of sharing with you many of the words I receive. I pray that they will be timely for you and help to reveal to you that the Father loves you far more than you can imagine. He calls you by name and is concerned about ALL that concerns you.
My husband and I now reside in Birmingham, Alabama, not far from our three grown sons and their families, which include three beautiful daughters-in-law and seven wonderful grandchildren. I lead a Bible study and prayer group that intercedes for America.
